Governor’s Cup Kid’s Marathon

The Governor’s Cup Kid’s Marathon

The Kids Marathon program partners with elementary schools in Helena and the surrounding area. Kids in grades K-5 at participating schools log 120 minutes of running/walking during a six-week training period and run/walk a 1-mile lap at 6 p.m. on June 7 at Centennial Park.

This non-competitive, non-timed event is about having fun and making it to the finish line.

Every Kid’s Marathon training program participant will be rewarded with tokens for meeting time goals and a T-shirt for completing the training program, free of charge. Those who participate in the final event will also earn a finisher’s medal. Children from non-participating schools will not receive a training program T-shirt, but are invited to participate in the non-timed lap free of charge and will receive a finisher’s medal.
